The Research On Network Buzzwords From 2011 To 2014

In the age of internet, efficient transport means and open platform for communication not only continue to broaden the vision of public association; but also contribute to a massive revolution of language. Today, the phenomenon of popular network buzzwords has great significance.Network buzzwords from 2011 to 2014 are taken as specific study object in this thesis, and detailed interpretation of network buzzwords will be done from forms, features further to spiritual essence through changes of social and cultural context. Then people can better understand and recognize the society with help of language and expressions.The specific contents include: The preface generally reviews studies of network buzzwords in different stages, and summarizes some specific issues and their study situation, finally indicates the purpose and focused direction of this thesis on the basis of sorting and reference of previous study results.Chapter one analyses formative orbit of network buzzwords and the minority’s self-entertainment state presenting before2011 from aspect of time and changes of social and cultural context. Chapter two deeply studies new features and development of network buzzwords from 2011 to2014, and focuses on analysis of texts of typical cases through vocabulary, sentence and style. This chapter states that this stage’s network buzzwords are widely used and recognized by the public at any circumstance.Chapter three mainly explores the generative mechanism and cause of formation of network buzzwords from the following three aspects: network media space, people’s world in the space of network buzzwords, the gap between life in the network and people’s daily life. This chapter further thinks about contemporary man’s life under influences of traditional social reality and virtual network society.Totally different from studies which have no strict conception of time or merely focus on a certain year, this thesis specially chooses the rapidest period(years of2011-2014) of procedure for origin and development of network buzzwords on the basis of analysis of network buzzwords’ formative orbit before 2011 to research,which is more comprehensive and highlights the key point.Secondly, this thesis does not simply lay out a list of simple interpretation for each case; but particularly in the perspective of cultural studies, it deeply analyses texts and takes network buzzwords as a whole to do cultural analysis, which will contribute to people’s overall understanding of network buzzwords. Thirdly, there is seldom comparison in theexisting research of network buzzwords. This thesis not only compares network buzzwords of years of 2011-2014 with those before 2011, but also makes comparison between life in the network and people’s daily life. As a result, this thesis clearly shows development trace of network buzzwords and explores their realistic implication.Of course, there are various and changeable network buzzwords; the theory of cultural studies are also immense and multi-valued. This thesis still needs improvements for lack of time, condition and the author’s personal knowledge.Nevertheless, the inescapable fact is that research on network buzzwords is still a new academic field and it’s worth exploring and discovering systematically and comprehensively.
