| With the exponential exploding of information in modern society, information literacy seems more and more important to a talent. Seeking useful information, sifting and analyzing information sources, and finally taking advantage of effective information to solve practical problems has already become the focus among professionals and scholars in each field. Meanwhile, translation has appeared some new features, which nurture the new landscape of modern technologies assisted translation. In turn, it brings translator competence to be a hot topic once again.The connotation of information literacy develops from a single subject into a multi-subject, combining itself with other fields, including bioscience, chemical, and librarian, etc. Scholars from Spain are the first ones to put forward the INFORLITRANS model directed to the community of translation in respect of information literacy. However, few professionals link information literacy as an overall concept to translator competence.This paper puts forward a model based on the advantages of mature models, taking MTI’s features into consideration. The designed model aims to provide new proposals in the studies of translator competence in China, and to put forward a new angle in the field of translator training. |
