Women Consciousness Research Of Novels By Bi Shumin

Bi shumin is a female writer with special experience in military, medical, and writing area, and later she got her Ph D in psychology. The characters she made in her novels: female soldiers, doctors and psychologists are all connected with her personal experience, which brought her writing unique qualities and irresistible attraction. As a female writer, Bi shumin built calm and serious consideration in the women how to find their own, the realization of self-worth, deconstruction of male culture, harmony between male and female. With Bi shumin’s novel as the research object, this thesis mainly aims to express the changing process of female subject position, namely, the green shoots of female consciousness, establish, deepen and beyond by referring to the theory of feminist literary criticism.This paper is divided into three chapters: Chapter 1: the germination and establishment of female consciousness. First part is about the early stage of initial awakening of feminine consciousness by reading the "kunlun mountain" series of novels in the army, in which the female soldiers pursued love bravely linked with Bi shumin’s own experience. The second part is the reflection of predicament in pursuing self-realization by analyzing contradictions and confusion of urban women in career, love and marriage.Chapter 2:deepening of female consciousness. This chapter mainly expressed the subversion of traditional female role, leading to deconstruct the patriarchal culture by describing virgin, siren, and the super woman.Chapter 3:Reincarnation of female consciousness. This chapter starts with three aspects: self save of women’s soul, the dignity of being-towards-death and the value of being-towards-death. Through the unique concept of life and death, the sight beyond gender of Bi Shumin, female consciousness comes to a reincarnation of harmony between two genders.
