Han Portraiture is a reflection of people’s life in Han Dynasty, Meanwhile, Han Portraiture expressed people’s aesthetic ideal at that time. If we understand it, we can comprehend the Han people’s utopia profoundly and intuitively. Unlike Pre-Qin Scholars’ ideal and Western Utopia,Han people pursue not only a sacred ideal paradise,but also filled with secularity.Perhaps only by Ritual, myth and religion in ancient China can we find this Sacred and Secular paradise. Han Portraiture created a myth world and ideal paradise, these images are our most valuable asset.The ideal paradise created by Han people is a space of life and death, which is not only presented as macro tomb, but also rendered as microscopic fairyland, and both spaces are interacting with each other. Behind these appearances is the understanding of Heaven, earth, man and God. This space is not simply a physical space, but is symbolic of a cultural space. In this space, all the things that have shown a logical cosmic symbolism.The ideal paradise created in the myth world of the Han Portraiture is a world that is full of immortality, happiness and wealth. It is a world which chinese call "the integrity of man and nature ". The world is an aesthetic utopia. From the perspective of the aesthetic subject, this image reflects the Han Dynasty unified secular and beyond;From the perspective of the aesthetic ontology, this image is a grotesque unity and harmony; From the roots of aesthetic terms, this image is an aesthetic utopia, which reflects the fundamental human spirit- the spirit of utopia.
