In recent years,the underclass-narrative has become the focus of the literary criticism. Among the numerous underclass-narrative writers,Yu Hua is representative one. From early extremely personal personalized creation to folk narrative returning to traditional realism,Yu Hua wrote a number underclass people. Yu Hua’s underclass-narrative is a true representation of the underclass-people’ survival state and mental outlook in the real life, and he made a thorough analysis on them.This thesis based on Yu Hua’s underclass-narrative, discuss its unique value, and highlight its signification.The thesis is divided into five parts. The first part is “Introduction”, to reveal the significance of Yu Hua’s underclass-narrative by combing the domestic and foreign research on Yu Hua’s novels; The second part is “The Underclass,The Underclass Literature and Yu Hua’s Underclass-complex, clarify the concept of “the underclass”and “the underclass”, and explore Yu Hua’ underclass-complex; the third part is “The Underclass People in Yu Hua’s Underclass-narrative”,summarized the kind of the underclass people with different characters in his novels; the fourth part is “the artistic strategy of underclass people in Yu Hua’s novels,explore the author’s outstanding artistic techniques respectively from the narrative perspective, repetitive narrative and narrative language; the fifth part is “The Value and Signification of Yu Hua’s Underclass-narrative”.Yu Hua’s underclass-narrative has a unique artistic value, his underclass-narrative reflect his society reflection, embodies a humanistic care as a writer.
