Ability standard is the main standards of evaluating language teaching and testing. But today’s standard for new HSK writing ability is vague, and can not satisfy the needs of teaching and testing, thus brings problems about new HSK writing proposition. To get out of this predicament, we must start from the ability standards. The author reconstructs the new HSK(advanced) writing ability standard on the basis of the study in second language learners’ writing ability targeting. And the author will also explores the adaptation of all kinds of language test writing subject and ability standard, building a proposition standard for new HSK(advanced)writing.Setting up the proposition standard of composition is mainly to serve proposition, but it is also an indicator of teaching reform and test evaluation. Proposition drives the innovation of the teaching and scoring system. From this perspective, the existence of proposition standard is not just for proposition. Its quality directly influence the teaching and testing of writing. Setting the standard of proposition is on the basis of ability standard. The bridge that connecting these two standards is the adaptation of test subject and ability standard. Only when ability standard and the subject adapts each other, can the proposition really test the ability. In turn, the proposition must improve adaptation of the subject and ability standard. Because the proposition should reflect the ability. In order to explore an effective path of reforming new HSK(advanced) writing, the research treats the adaptation of proposition and ability as an intermediary and connects the ability standard and proposition standard, improving the composition proposition.
