Research On The Lantern Opera In Northern Sichuan

This paper studies the lantern opera in northern Sichuan, belonging to the Chinese traditional folk dramatics culture. In this thesis, using the method of field study, take the field interviews and historical carding with combination of approaches. At the same time, from history, art, folklore and combination of the northern Sichuan regional society culture and economy, multi-disciplinary fields learn together to explore and reappearance lantern opera in northern Sichuan of history. This thesis is divided into four chapters, the first and second chapters as the focus in researcher. The first chapter according to concept of lantern opera in northern Sichuan as the breakthrough point,systematic discourses the origin, development general situation, the development process and productive history effect of lantern opera in northern Sichuan; the second chapter describes and local custom of the lantern opera; the third chapter briefly introduces the artistic features of lantern opera in northern Sichuan, from the script, the music, the stage performances, every link is worth to learn and enjoy; the fourth chapter discusses the development prospects of lantern opera in northern Sichuan, nowadays we must reform and innovate to lantern opera except to protect or heritage that find a right way to adapt to exist by lantern opera in northern Sichuan.The purpose of this study is not only to complete thesis but also to make more people be familiar with the lantern opera in northern Sichuan. At the present the culture and art appeared to diversified development, with the strong invasion of foreign culture,a great deal of Chinese traditional culture already to be disappeared. But the local government and art workers make to strong effort insist on keeping lantern opera in northern Sichuan. The author hopeful this thesis can make more people understand and love the lantern opera. Thus this study can make a contribution to the opera, further more to help old opera coruscating new posture, become Nanchong Sichuan region the unique culture card.
