This study is based on a large-scale corpus. The study gradually exposes the role of prosodic structure of Mandarin Chinese in declarative pitch change by stripping tones and other factors on the pitch. On the basis of the conclusion of the study, we set up a statistical model of the relevant parameters on a large scale corpus. The model of the statement is used in pitch prediction, and the prediction result is applied to the synthesized speech. The correctness of the conclusions of the study is to be verified via an MOS evaluation. The content of the research can be divided into two main parts, the analysis of intonation and the analysis of tone.Specifically, in the intonation part, prosodic hierarchy and tonal range is used to propose range boxes and its related concepts. The characteristics of the pitch are examined through statistical analysis. A treble line-bass line prediction model is established based on the results of the analysis. It can be used to predict the trend of Mandarin declarative intonation when the rhythm and accent information is known. Studies have shown that, in the range Sons box, (1) the lower line of the sub-level boxes has stepped down. (2)The higher line of the sub-level boxes has two levels. The stressed level is significantly higher than the the unstressed level. (3) The combined effects of the descending of the lower line and the hierarchical structure of the range boxes is the reason why the pitch reset is more likely to occur in the higher level prosodic boundary, and the higher the level is the greater the magnitude is.In the tone part, this paper has a detailed analysis of the tone shape of each tone classes in different phonetic environment, and how the former tone type affects the present tone shape. The results of the analysis are used to establish a tone shape prediction model. It can be used to predict the curve of a syllable, if we know the tonal range and the type of the syllable. The study showed that (1) compared with voiceless initial consonant syllables tone patterns, voiced and zero initial syllable tone patterns is more likely to be affected by former syllable tone type. (2) If the tone of the former syllable has a treble ending, the starting point of the present syllable has a higher pitch; if the tone of the former syllable has a bass ending, the starting point of the present syllable has a lower pitch. (3) The nature of the neutral tone is different from the other tone classes, its tone shape and tone value is dependent on the tone types of former syllable. Finally, a combination of these two predicting model, declarative pitch curve prediction model, is established. We can use it to predict the Mandarin declarative pitch curve, if the sentence rhythm and the accented information are known. The results are applied to speech synthesis. The synthesis results are natural, which shows the results of this study are reasonable.
