The Impact Of Social Prejudice And Threat Situation On Aggressive Behavior

In recent years, with the rapid development of urbanization of China, the related issues of urban management have increasingly become attention. Among them, the urban management system is the most representative and controversial one. In our country, law enforcement officers is a special group, on the one hand, the group image is connected with violence, law enforcement, inferior quality and other negative information, on the other hand in the process of urban management and law enforcement, realistic situation tend to overlaps with the bias between inspectors and administrative objects which will cause aggressive behavior.Based on the research of relevant literatures and current foundations, this paper uses social prejudice (including implicit bias and explicit bias) and threat situation as independent variables, and the index of Competitive Reaction Time taskare selected as the dependent variable for the discussion on the influence of social prejudice and threat situation on the aggressive behavior of urban management and law enforcement. The main research conclusions are summarized as follows:(1) there is a social bias between the urban management and the administrative object. That is, the urban management team has the obvious bias or implicit prejudice to the administrative object, and the administrative object also has a bias or implicit bias to the urban management team.(2) the main effect of social prejudice and threat situation are both significant in the CRT index, whether in the experiment for urban management or in the one for administrative subjects. That is, in the case of social prejudice and threat scenarios, the two sides more easily in urban management and law enforcement to produce aggressive behavior.(3) As for the urban management team, the effect of threat situation is more obvious than the social prejudice do when in the process of the occurrence of the urban management and law enforcement. In particular, when there is a threat situation, the threat plays the main effect of the situation. when the threat situation is not exist, there is no obvious bias in the absence or implicit bias will lead to a significant difference in aggression tendency.(4) Under the condition of implicit prejudice, inspectors turn their expression of attack to administrative objects to an implicit level whereas the attack from administrative objects to inspectors is still in significant level. Because of the impact of social prejudice against the aggressive behavior of the two sides of the conflict in the direction of the effect, the inference is that in the urban management team and administrative objects of the two groups, the urban management team stays at the vulnerable side.
