Studies On The Coincidental Adverbs

The usage of adverb is one of the most controversial issues in all of modern Chinese vocabulary. This article plans to analyze similarities and differences of the adverb of "恰 好" synchronically and diachronically, which is based on the aspects of lexicalization,grammatical meaning and cohesive function as well.The first part is introduction. This part is mainly identifying scope of the research, introducing the writing circuits and summarizing the accomplishments of the former researchers.The second part is introducing the lexicalization and principle of word growing. It classifies the adverb of "恰好" into 3 groups in this part:the kind of "恰X","正X" and "刚 X".The writer describe the history of lexicalization and rules of word growing separately, and then, make a conclusion of the lexicalization of the adverb of "恰好".The third part is related to the involving object and structural features of "恰好".It is deeply analyzed the number of involving objects and syntactic structures of "恰 好" adverb.The fourth part is about the time expression, which studies the usage characteristics of the sentence with "恰好".The fifth part is talking about subjectivity of "恰好" sentences. The chapter analyze whether the expression of "恰好" adverb is coincide with the perceptions of the speakers.The sixth part is the cohesive function of "恰好" adverb. It is mainly discussed about the characteristics and ways of cohesion in a sentence and inter-sentences.The seventh part is conclusion, which concludes about the creative and shortage of this article.
