| At present, Research on lexicalization and grammaticalization is going ahead with full stream. Taking"X lai", frequently used in Mandarin Chinese, as the object of study, we made a systematic research on the lexicalization in Chinese. Simultaneously, we analysed the relation between lexicalization and grammaticalization. This article is divided into three sections.In section one , there is a brief review about the Research on lexicalization in the past and a general comment on the current.Section two occupies the core position in this article, which consists of three chapters. In chapter one ,study ter three is dedicated to the remaining"X lai"except those mentioned above. At the same time , research on the relation between lexicalization and grammaticalization was being carried out.In section three, based on the research prior to this part, we tried a theoretical exploration which indicates that Designation plays a vital role in the process of the lexicalization of"X lai". As a logical consequence, theories concerning designation are included in this part. |
