A Study On Model Particles Of Shuangfeng Dialect, Loudi Hunan

The model particles are common Chinese syncategorematic words. Modal particles play a very important role in Chinese language. This thesis gives a comprehensive and detailed description of the modal particles of Shuangfeng Dialect. And it has summarized the characteristics and grammar features of the modal particles of Shuangfeng Dialect. The thesis has five chapters.Chapter One is the preface which describes the history and geographic situation of Shuangfeng County, and the initial consonants, rhythmic entires and the tones of Shuangfeng Dialect. And it also has done some research on modern Chinese languages usage and the current situation of the modern particles in Shuangfeng dialect and its achievements.Chapter Two mainly describes the single-use situation of modal particles of Shuangfeng dialect by syntactic distribution, including in a sentence and at the end of a sentence. All the modal particles in Shuangfeng Dialect can be used at the end of the sentence, while some can be used in the middle of sentence. Including "a (啊)、ba (吧)、 di (滴)、ei (欸)、lie (�'�)、ma (嘛)、ji (唧)、ge (�'�)、la (啦) ".These modal particles used in a sentence are for temporary pause initially and list. The modal particles at the end of a sentence are divided by four categories. They are declarative sentence, interrogative sentence, exclamatory sentence, and imperative sentence. Through the use of conditions, the main characteristics and the functions of the modal particles. The thesis has analyzed the similarities and differences of modal particles in a rough way.Chapter Three discusses the conjunction of modal particles. And we talk about thirty-two use eases of Shuangfeng Dialect. The conjunction between two words is the most common situation in Shuangfeng Dialect. There are also some illustrations of conjunction among three words. And we here analyze the combination level of the conjunction of modal particles.And we have a comparison of the consecutive usage and single usage of modal particles.Chapter Four is about the comparative study of the modal particles in Shuangfeng Dialect. First of all, it has the comparison of basic modal particles between Shuangfeng Dialect and Mandarin. Secondly, compared three modal particles in Shuangfeng Dialect and Xinhua Dialect. They are "li (哩), ji (唧), luo (啰) ".Chapter Five is a summary of the whole thesis. We summarized some features of the use of the modal particles in Shuangfeng Dialect. And we identified the limitations of this thesis.
