With the convening of the 5th session of the 18 th plenary session of the CPC, the “Two-Child” policy has been launched step by step in the whole country, and the issues about preschool children education has attracted much attention. The cause of children in our country starts late, medical care, children education and food safety etc. all exist many problems. Psychological education for children is one of them. Currently, the study on psychological education for children in our country is deficient, the introduce of related books, therefore, plays an important role in this field. This practice report adopts the academic article translation of Raising Parents, written by Patricia Crittenden, an Associate Professor on the Faculty of Psychiatry at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. During the translation procedure, I get to know the relationship between parents’ competencies and children’s development; the connection between attachment and parents; the available therapy for attachment. I understand those problems we should notice in such articles and competencies we should cultivate in the future. The translation report consists of four parts: task description, translation process description, case analysis and practice summary. The task description introduces the background of the task, the requirement of the client and the feature of the task. The translation process introduces the preparation, the implementation of translation and the evaluation of the client. The main part of the report is case analysis which introduces the translation problems including the professional words of psychology and paedeutics; the ambiguous sentences; data and tables and the translation methods towards different target readers, analyzes solutions, such as adding or deleting the sentence ingredients; maintaining the equivalence between original text and translated text; adopting different considerations for different target readers. The last part makes a summary of the problems unsolved during the process of translation and the solution of the questions makes a great difference for further studies and future work.
