Study On Interesting Performance Of Of Paisley Pattern Design

As a classic dress pattern at home and abroad, Paisley pattern has triggered research topics of previous scholars. It is a highly generalized pattern with relatively flexible application. With the change of modern people’s life and science &technology, graphic creativity and pattern design attached to products have become more attractive, and they often pursue amusing, interesting and personalized expression means. Therefore, pattern design not only tries to show a traditional manifestation form of expressing emotions with objects, but also pays close attention to meaningful forms of abundant association, pursuit of memories and realization of intelligent resonance conducted by people in the modern society. This paper summarizes the interesting performance of Paisley pattern design under the above research background, and proposes the design methods based on this. Then design practice is conducted again for the methods, and finally the achievement is gained.By directing at this topic, the author makes a survey analysis on the cognition degree of some groups for Paisley pattern by starting from the angle of interesting design, trying to summarize some characteristics of their interesting performance toward Paisley pattern.This paper can be divided into four parts. Firstly, Paisley pattern and interestingness are introduced in detail. By analyzing the historical source, aesthetic characteristics and application fields of Paisley pattern, the definition of interestingness, interesting design,and the interestingness of emotional design and pattern design are discussed. Besides,the factors causing interestingness of pattern performance are analyzed, and then types and characteristics of interesting performance of Paisley pattern are summarized.Secondly, by combining with understanding and analysis about interesting and emotional design, an in-depth study is made for interesting expression of Paisley pattern at present. Later design methods of contemporary interesting Paisley design are summarized, and a comparative analysis is made with the design method of original patterns. Meanwhile, characteristics of new methods are illustrated, and theninnovativeness and originality of interesting pattern design are expounded. In this paper,four design methods are proposed. Firstly, it is reinforcement method which includes reduction method and addition method. The new thoughts are proposed, and some pattern samples are made. Secondly, it comes to personification method. This is an innovation method that imitates styling features of cartoons before imitating human expressions, movements and emotions. Thirdly, replacement method is introduced, and this method is to replace similar appearances. Fourthly, it is combination method including grouping combination and multilayer combination. Innovative combination design of colors and textures is conducted among the composite components and layered patterns, and design is attempted in this way.Finally, the replacement method of literary poetry is introduced into interesting pattern design for application of design practice, so as to intensify the interesting characteristic of patterns – expression of artistic conception.In this way, the feasibility of methods proposed in this paper is verified.People oriented concept is the core idea of design, and humanized and individualized design has already become the development trend of modern design.By combining theoretical research with market survey, new methods for interesting design of Paisley pattern are proposed. On the one hand, new manifestation forms and cultural connotations of Paisley pattern design are enriched; interestingness,fashion and individuality of Paisley pattern and figure are improved; the horizon of Paisley pattern design is expanded. On the other hand, by establishing interesting patterns on the basis of satisfying consumers’ emotional needs and spiritual demands,a broad market is provided for the development of Paisley pattern design.
