Application Of Personal Style In Travel Picture Book Creation

The topic of this work is the "trip to Sichuan", which mainly recorded the natural scene and culture in the Northwest Sichuan via the form of picture book. This work uses my daily experience as the theme, and depicted those using painting techniques of the combination of hand painted and fashion collage elements. In this way, I was able to share my feelings of local cultural things with readers, which makes the readers could experience the same scenario of the Northwest Sichuan and easily understand the local cultural and natural landscape at the same time. It is hoped that this work could shade light on the domestic travel picture books.Lots of market investigations as well as literature review were carried out, which focused on the content of travel picture books, their depicted forms, status of similar travel picture book creations, as well as market demand. Via the investigation and literature review, problems of low level of domestic travel related books production,serious following tendency, simplification of expression methods, as well as lack of personalized art performance were found. Thus, the market needs new elements and personal style to highlight the creation. Therefore, providing breakthrough point of innovation and the expression direction of this work are the personalized style of performance.According to the market demand, conception of more personal artistic style was persisted. A lot of work has been carried out on sorting out and analyzing of numbers of literatures, journals, and travel picture books, focusing on research of the conceptions,classification, performance techniques of travel picture book, and their advantages. It has been summed up that the core idea is that the expression should fully reflect the personal artistic style, which provides theoretical support for the prominent personalized style of this work.Therefore, this work uses the "Trip to Sichuan" as the theme of this travel picture book. The main content of this picture book is my experience of my Sichun trip, which includes views and cultures of Chengdu, Jiuzhaigou, Norgay grassland and so on. The content is depicted using the combination of text and pictures by integrating the feelingsof the author. Elements were firstly extracted, selected and reorganized from drawings and photos of the trip, and then combined with the script for painting creation. This work aims at strong demand for outstanding performance of the personal style in the domestic travel book market and uses the personal artistic style as the theoretical guidance. The way of expression personal emotion by unique painting method makes this work outstanding in various travel picture book market, which could inject new elements and provide new reference for the travel picture book market.
