The Zen came into being firstly in Tang Dynasty and gradually became mature in Song Dynasty. The arts and culture and aesthetic interest of Sino-Japanese began to change after a long time development and impact. Because of a large number of emissaries and Buddhists been sending to China for knowledge during the Tang and Song Dynasties, and a large number of Buddhists crossing to Japan in culture spreading, the Zen Buddhism had been developed in Japan quickly. Both segmentation of Song Dynasty and Kawase Toshiro Ikebana had been impacted by Zen cultural background. In management layout, the content of segmentation of Song Dynasty was simple: only one or two flowers with birds, bees and butterflies were used to draw the painting. But,when Kawase Toshiro using this method to arrange flowers, a sense of emptiness and emptiness by large areas of blank in visual was created.Secondly, in the the forms of art. As an art of painting, segmentation art of Song Dynasty paid much more attention to the importance of the subject’s layoutposition in the paintings Similarly, to keep a harmonious whole without losing the natural interest, the art of ikebana should also pay attention to the mutual coordination between flowers and utensils and the combinations among points, lines, surfaces. The two arts of Sino-Japanese showed infinite meaning by the technique of conciseness, which featured the incomparable aesthetic artistic conception of Zen.These two art forms both advocate the beauty of nature, and contain similar aesthetic artistic conception. In segmentation art, the flowers were the carrier for the painters to express their views and ideas.Although the choice of subject matters of ikebana art were affected by the seasons and the environment, it can still reflect the artists’ inner feelings. Both segmentation art and ikebana art naturally expressed their respective artistic ideas under the influence of Zen aesthetics.
