The translation materials of this report are taken from the Green Logistics and Transportation, which is written by Behnam Fahimnia, Michael G.H. Bell, David A. Hensher, and Joseph Sarkis.With the rapid development of our country’s economy, logistics has been keeping high growth rate, bringing enormous impact to the environment. Consequently, our country starts to develop green logistics and transportation to a large extent. The four authors of the book are the specialists of logistics industry and relevant fields, and they have provided detailed and unique views. This book introduces the state of the art in green logistics and transportation with a supply chain focus. From various perspectives, it discusses the greening of logistics and transportation functions. The authors also use various techniques and research methodologies to explain and analyze the concepts and issues of green logistics and transportation. The four authors have a wide range of background knowledge, including policy, technique, engineering, management and so on. They all provide solutions and insights from their regional and global perspective concerning some of the world’s most critical green logistics and transportation issues. The first chapter mainly tells the role of green logistics and transportation in sustainable supply chain.This report mainly consists of three parts:abstract, introduction and the main body. The author divided the main body into four chapters. The first chapter is task description, introducing the feature of logistics text and a brief description of the four authors. The second chapter is the description of the translation process:selecting parallel logistics text, using target language to re-express the main content of the source language, checking and revising the translation repeatedly. The third chapter acts as the core part of this report. The author captured three characters of the materials:abbreviations, logistics terminology and long difficult sentences. Some typical cases are chosen to analyze them. The forth chapter is the summary of this translation.
