In qing dynasty, a large number of Japanese traveling to China, and write a lot of travel work. These travel notes is described in detail the author’s knowledge and everywhere along the sightseeing trail, the mountains and rivers scenery, history, geography, customs and so on, has the very high historical value, is the study of the late qing and early Republic of China social culture rare literature. These travel notes, some related to the three gorges, they are in the form of a documentary of the three gorges by mountains and rivers shape victory, history and culture, places of historic interest and so on has carried on the detailed and thorough records, manifests the eye of the "foreign" to the Japanese unique perspective, this provides a new perspective for us to study the three gorges and materials.This paper is divided into introduction, text and epilogue points, a total of three parts. The introduction part mainly introduces the research significance of the paper, related research status at home and abroad, and the thesis involved in the travel notes to do a brief introduction to Japan.The body of the first chapter discusses the modern Japanese boom surges in China, analyses the motivation of modern Japanese three gorges investigation, to later discuss Japan travel notes in the three gorges literature and historical background.The second chapter discusses the modern Japanese landscape centers of three gorges project. Mainly involves the rapids of the three gorges, such as the new beach, people Zha urn, and on the investigation to the strategic position of qu tong guan.Embodied in the third chapter analyzes the Japanese travel on the investigation to the three gorges culture and history, mainly including road culture, that culture of three gorges project, wushan culture.The fourth chapter discusses the modern Japanese on the investigation to the three gorges scenic spots and historical sites, including eight state of real talent matrix diagram, huangling temple, treasure and flexor male shrine.Conclusion part summarizes the characteristics of the three gorges study Japanese in the late qing dynasty, their view is different from traditional literati in China, such as the travel of the three gorges rapids, qutang gorge strategic position, real talent state salt industry and the three gorges tracker and plank road culture, have higher literature value.
