| This paper studies the historical background, causes and cultural characteristics of Jiaju Tibetan Village through consulting relevant materials and references, which lays the foundation for the following exploration. Based on the site investigation combining with research methods in related literature, this paper carries out a summary on the form beauty of Jiaju Tibetan Village.The form beauty of Jiaju Tibetan Village contains an extensive content. Through a full view of the composition of the whole space, Jiaju Tibetan Village conforms to the aesthetic elements as the universality of complex. Moreover, it offers a good interpretation in the aspects of “contraposition”, “echo” and “rhythm”. Through an individual view of Jiaju Tibetan Village, its single building shows the beauty of minority cultures, Tibetan wisdom in rational use of materials and space, and philosophical merits of Jiaju Tibetan Village. Every single part of Jiaju Tibetan Village boasts strong form beauty, such as its doors, windows and walls.This paper appreciates and analyzes masters’ famous Tibetan oil paintings, which helps in guiding the oil painting in relation to Jiaju Tibetan Village. Through a comparative analysis of these oil paintings, different emotional appeal can be clearly and directly discovered in Tibetan oil paintings of different Tibetan areas, different styles and different times. It is beneficial for the author to accurately grasp the characteristics of the form beauty of Jiaju Tibetan Village. Of course, the first task is to refine and process the form beauty of Jiaju Tibetan Village, and the following one is to express the form beauty in oil painting. This paper discusses the reference value of the form beauty of Jiaju Tibetan Village in oil painting. The prerequisite of this discussion is that there must have a close association between the form beauty of Jiaju Tibetan Village and the sense of form in oil painting.
