English is an essential tool and an ability for people in working and learning in the modern society. The form of English learning and ability mainly includes five parts such as listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. In the resent years, as the researches on English writing have emerged endlessly, many kinds of results on English writing researches have showed that English writing is not only to cultivate the process of a person’s writing ability, but also a sign of exercising a person’s thinking ability and overall quality.The author is from the perspective of college students’ English writing rubrics according to the previous research findings and summary, and has made a survey about the use of writing rubrics for college students and teachers in classroom in Harbin Normal University and has carried on the induction and analysis of the results about the survey. At the same time, the author selected two classes called experimental class and parallel class in total of 99 students as an example in the class of 2014 students in Harbin Normal University. The author asks the students in experimental class do some writing excises under the precondition with writing rubrics in three semester, and compares the results each time with parallel class. Making a conclusion and survey about the writing rubrics’ influence on college students’ English writing marks and ability preliminary. Among them, both respondents and experimental subjects are nonEnglish majors. In the paper, the author uses a random sample of three experimental results for example.The author expects to make a survey and analyze about the use of writing rubric in college English class in this paper, mainly wants to try to answer some questions as follows:The first question is if college English teachers intend to use writing rubric on their class, how they could to use it.The second question is if writing rubric really have an influence on college students’ writing skills and marks according to the conclusion about the writing rubrics’ influence on college students’ English writing marks and ability preliminary.The third is what influences that writing rubric makes on college students and teachers.According to the research on English writing rubric and the analysis of experimental results, the author has known something about the use of writing rubric on college English class and found something new. One of the results is that writing rubric is used less on college English class and the situation of using it is that teacher occasionally mention writing rubric on their class without detailed explanation. In the experimental process of the two classes, the author according to the experiment for three semesters and the change of students’ writing marks has confirmed that writing rubric has the effect on promoting and improving college students’ writing ability and performance. The author has made a detail expounding on what influences the writing rubric brings to college students and teachers on college English classes.In addition to the above findings, the author also found that there were some deficiency existing in this paper and the author put forward to getting some suggestions according to combining the main finding with the insufficiency in the paper.
