It has been widely broadcast and become a hot issue as well, which also makes it controversial in some aspects.Taking "War and Beauty," " Schemes of a Beauty", " Heart Lock Jade Palace," "The Legend of Zhen Huan," "The legend of MiYue" for instances, the palace fighting drama swept across the TV screen, even though the SARFT announced a regulation on such kind of drama, it still can not hinder the increasingheat of Palace fighting topic. Looking back the development of the past decade Palace fighting drama, the palace fighting drama usually added the narrative background and story into ancient feudal history, the core of the plot is the war between women and Machiavellian struggle in order to achieve dramatic occurrence among conflict. Due to the growing number of such TV dramas in recent years, more and more TV creators in the process of writing scripts is getting into the modeling ways, and the homogenization leads to the creation of the drama without innovation, gradually losing the natural audience, which becomesone of the biggest problem imperial harem TV play encountered. For imperial harem TV play themselves, one-sided pursuit of immediate interests, regardless of their historical and cultural significance, can only benefit the moment, with no effect on the long-term development. All these problemsshows that it is worth studying the hit of imperial harem TV play in depth.In this paper, the author will firstly review the different arguments, combined with representative domestic imperial harem TV play in China to further explain why this kind of drama is becoming such a big hit under existing institutional and cultural background. And then the idea direction of imperial harem TV playis described;the futureof this kind of TV play is envisioned.
