Foreign language teaching is to cultivate students’ ability of communication in Chinese, the narrative ability is a basic ability which should also be paid attention to. But from the actual teaching can be found, Chinese learners into the intermediate stage, in sentence expression grammar and vocabulary basically no problem, but in narration will still an utterance is not coherent, expression is not clear problems, in sentence cohesion also produces various errors. This shows that in the actual teaching, strengthen students’ attention and narrative ability training is very necessary. This paper studied the intermediate Chinese learners narrative ability training, the content is divided into the following parts.The first part is the definition and explains the related concepts and basic connotation, including the "narrative", "non language narrative" and "narrative", small space story and narrative ability. Because the content of this paper is mainly on the narrative theory, the concept related to culture and narrative skills necessary to explain.The second part is, first of all, from the two aspects of human life and the second language teaching, elaborates the importance of cultivation of intermediate Chinese learning narrative ability, namely narrative ability both in life or in the second language teaching has an important position. Secondly from the anthropological thinking dichotomy, psychology of story, cognitive linguistics in the event said, narrative perspective of theory and the theory of foreign language teaching, explains the cultivation of learning intermediate Chinese narrative ability of theoretical basis.The third part is to cultivate students ability in the teaching of narrative from several aspects. The first is the embodiment of the narrative ability in the second language teaching, namely the narrative and the second language teaching is inseparable. Secondly, from the perspective of teaching materials, classroom teaching, and the new HSK examination, the author studies the related situation of the narrative ability of the students, and discusses the existing problems.The fourth part is about how to enhance the intermediate Chinese learners’ narrative ability. On the basis of the third chapter, the author put forward some views on the selection and use of teaching materials, classroom teaching and the requirements of teachers in three aspects.The fifth part is to strengthen the "intermediate Chinese learners narrative ability" as the point of view of the design of teaching plans. In order to illustrate how in the teaching in fostering learner better narrative ability in the process of teaching learning narrative ability, the to the development of intermediate spoken Chinese Ⅰ ", the third class, for example, the tentative plan, the purpose is only to demonstrate the teaching how to cultivate the learning ability of narrator.
