Research On Evolution Of Document Noun During The Late Qing Dynasty

The Late Qing Dynasty (1840～1911) is not only the formation of semi-colonial and semi-feudal society in China but also the beginning of modern history of China. It inherits the feudal tradition and open the new wind of the Republic of China, is in the transitional period of a small amount of general nouns to unified terminology, has a critical role in the history of Chinese document noun evolution. The society, politics, economy, culture, folk customs and language habits of this period is constantly changing, document noun faithfully records above changes, including social change and alternation of old and new things can be directly or indirectly reflected through its evolution, such as the formation and development of "File" is closely related to Sino-foreign cultural exchanges. Based on this, research evolution of document noun during the Late Qing Dynasty and put it into the whole process of development of Chinese document noun has positive theoretical and practical significance.This paper takes "Ancient Chinese Literature Database " as retrieval text and data source, through retrieval, statistics and analysis of 361 important literatures of Late Qing Dynasty, summarize evolution law and influence factors of document nouns during this period. Full text is divided into three parts:First part gives general analysis about composition, evolution tendency and characteristics of document nouns in combination with historical background, Second and third part is parallel structure, respectively explains and analyzes evolution law and influencing factors, words connotation and main usage of general and special type document nouns and their typical terms "Document", "Official Document", "File", "Diploma". This research found that the Late Qing Dynasty is in the transitional period of a small amount of general nouns to unified terminology, those nouns which more in line with the need of development of modern society developed better in evolution process of document nouns, two categories of documents and archives continue to differentiate and specialized degree of document nouns’ connotation is gradually improved, influenced by foreign culture significantly is also an important characteristics of document nouns’ evolution during this period.
