Interpreting is becoming a momentous activity with each passing day in nowadays as high frequency among international exchanges. The interpreter acts a crucial role as the link and passer of exchanges and communications among different languages and cultures in interlingual transference. The press conference has become an important connection between the government and the populace, China and the world. In particular, the press conference of China ?s annual two sessions has enjoyed wide attention both at home and abroad according to its significance and high standards.Interpretive theory has far-reaching influence on translation, in especial on interpreting theory research, the definition and performance of its core—deverbalization has long attracted attentions of interpreting theorists. The two dynamic input and output processing stage of consecutive interpreting is also widely discussed in the area. In China, interpreting research is still in the budding stage and far behind translation studies, in which translatability studies did not get enough attention. Interpreting limits of translatability contains different language structure, namely semantic structure, language fuzziness, usage features, thinking indication, interpreting methodology and national cultural characteristics, therefore, it prone to have interlingual conversion disorder, among which cultural obstruction is the commonplace and tough problem. Since interpreting activity could not overlook the part cultural information carrier and transmission of language symbol played. Hence, it becomes particularly indispensable to resolve cultural obstructions problem in interlingual transfer. This dissertation is designed to address cultural obstructions in interpreting by D everbalizing with the manner of qualitative by Deverbalization Hypothesis which proposes the way of source language understanding that combines deverbalizing and parallel processing could activate the lexical or structural features of target language in source language understanding stage, and then produce the target language by meaning-driven and construction-driven. This paper picks Wang Yi?s press conference in 2015 as corpus which is of high quality and strong representative of consecutive interpreting by explaining how to use Deverbalization Hypothesis to get rid of the bundle of surface structure of language and overcome the meaning conveying and transformation obstructions resulting from language structure difference. And upon the study and analysis of the linguistic meaning, referential meaning and pragmatic meaning in interlingual transference, it comes out that cultural barriers have constraints on interlingual interpreting from different levels. Because of the performance of cultural information ca rrying words is not equivalent; the words that are not equivalent would present as conversion disorder in interlingual transference. And these disorders or obstructions will render conflict interlingual conversion formula. The conflict-style words have to take appropriate method when encoding the target text in interlingual transference. Since the way of meaning conversion that contained in the essence of translation can be incorporated into the methodology as a means of adaptation, this paper would take th ese following adaptations: abstraction and concrete, adding and omission, cutting and integration, restituting and explanation, conversing and recasting. By further study and deep-going analysis, the means of adaptation under the guidance of Deverbalization Hypothesis can better eliminate the obstructions of limits of translatability and which provides a theoretical basis for interpreting study. This dissertation boasts five chapters to deliver the elaboration respectively are introduction, literature review, theoretical framework, cultural obstructions of limits of translatability and the relative adaptations by using Deverbalizaiton Hypothesis to remove it. According to the study of the context of Wang Yi?s press conference in 2015, it aims to furnish interpreting practice with theoretical direction, a reference for eliminating the obstructions of translatability soundly and effectively in interlingual transference and the achievement of comprehensive optimization in interpreting.
