The author of’Yun Lai" is Hua Changqing,Qing Dynasty,China.This paper research about the origin of yunlai syllable onsets in medeival era,analyse historical origin of 50 syllable onsets of yunlai.The paper include four parts.The first part begins with the review of previous history of "Yun Lai" researchment,the previous researchment focused on these fields:characters of yunlai phonemcal system,book-structurement of yunlai,basic dialect of yunlai. Most of previous researchment is about the main characters of yunlai phonemcal system,inevitable,many details of previous researchment is not precise.In the second part, we mainly introduced the layout of "Yun Lai", including the preface, author, text layout, printing and many other information.The third part is main part of this paper, using Excel as tool, compare the phonological information of each characters in"yunlai"and "Guangyun",to find out the evolution rules of the phonological system.Based on the information found out by excel,we describe the whole evolution rules of the phonological system in syllable onsets aspect,includeing 50 syllable onsets of yunlai,which is classified in 14 kinds according to articulation place in oral cavity,besides,we introduced many exceptional characrters of which is different in phonological system among their neighbor in every charpters.In this part,we also discussed the problems fore-people less in research.Mainly discussed the of syllable onsets in chapter 4th and chapter 5th and the problem of Flated and cacuminal syllable onsets.The fourth part is the conclusion of the paper, we give a overall perspect of yunlai phonological system,so we can get a clear outlook of yunlai historical phonetics change rule.
