In the early 17th century the power balance between the Northern Yuan and the Ming empires was challenged by a new power:aisin gurun, later daicing gurun. All of them were struggled for the dominating power in Northeast Asia. Meanwhile, the inofficial historical writing in Ming empire flourished since Jiajing reign, many intellectuals had involved into history research and recording. Moreover, the tradition of writing shi lu (means "authentic recording") as official history also could not be ignored by scholars who interest in the histeoriography of Ming dynasty. However, due to the dramatic destiny of Hongguang and Longwu regimes, they did not have a opportunity to start their official history programme.Consequently, the obligation of writing the history of Chongzhen reign was beared by intellectuals in the civil society, and finally generated four different shi lu editions of Chongzhen reign——《明□宗□皇帝实录》、《国榷》、《崇祯实录》、《崇祯长编》.Due to these documents are extremely valuable for the research for the contemporary history of that period, this essay will mainly focus on these materials.This essay will be divided into three sections. The Chapter Ⅰ will detailed pursue the writing and printing process of these four editions of shi lu, in order to identify the feature of each edition. The Chapter Ⅱ would concentrate on the corner stone of these documents——dibao (the newspaper published by government of ancient China), the writer would analysis the structure of dibao and tried to track the historical original of these shi lu by reference to the《万历邸'》.the Chapter Ⅲ will carefully comparing the different shi lu in order to estimate the historical value of these materials.
