Neuroaesthetics is a new discipline using neuroscience as a method and trying to establish a mechanism for aesthetic activity. This paper is divided into five parts. In the first part, I try to clarify the source of the Neuroaesthetics, including the perspective of experimental aesthetics, technology of Neuroscience and partitioned brain science. In the second part, I want to explain the methodology of Neuroaesthetics, from the methodology studies to neuroimaging techniques. In the third part, I try to find when we see art forms our brain’s process, through the study of painting, film, literature and music. In the fourth part, I try to explore the mechanism of aesthetic activity and establish the model of "Aesthetic trajectory". In the last part, by evaluating the achievement and status of Neuroaesthetics, I discuss the advantages and shortcomings of it, and anticipate new challenge of traditional Aesthetics. Based on the comprehensive review for Neuroaesthetics, I try to provide a new perspective for the development of contemporary Aesthetics and Art Theory.
