Stage space supports the entire theatrical activity as a platform in both aspects of physical embodiment as well as theatre space. The stage performances of actors benefit from support of this platform, and therefore are able to fully express themselves to the audience. Hence, the stage presentation of one theatre production manages to be unified and integrated. In the field of space extension of performance, Peking Opera, the quintessence of Chinese culture, has a say. Not only can one table and two chairs create a space, but an actor waving a whip also depicts the scene of a thousand dashing horses. In Raccoon for A Prince played by Shanghai Jingju Theatre Company, various space transformations happened with no setting changed. This play, depending on the performances of competent actors, expressed every detail and message clearly to the audience. The stage space extends its characteristics by adding atmosphere and restriction on performance of actors. This extension is also characteristics of the theatre. Dialectical relation between theatre space and stage performance is the law that one has to obey during the process of creating and practicing drama.
