| In the Republic of China, there were lots of warlords, the politics was unrest, especially from the May Fourth Movement to the National Revolution. At that time,a variety of new thoughts emerged, Tianjin women’s community is one of the most important one in the modern history of Tianjin. During this time, there were lots of communities like:Tianjin women’s progress Women in Patriotic comrades, Tianjin petition feminist groups, the feminist movement League Zhili branch, Tianjin actress Club, Tianjin national conference on women and will contribute to all sectors of the Tianjin Women’s Federation, etc.This article first describes the background of the Tianjin women’s community produced, including social and historical background and the early Republic of China (1912-1918) development of Tianjin women’s community, women’s community for the later prosperity pave the way. But then specifically describes the various women’s communities to participate in the anti-imperialist movement, the pursuit of women’s liberation efforts made, and describes the characteristics and significance of Tianjin women’s club activities.During the May Fourth Movement, women’s community in Tianjin with all the anti-imperialist community had movements together. They organize the progress of women’s communities, publish newspapers, promote its progressive ideas, and spread of Marxism. So these women have got advanced knowledge of the rudiments of communist ideology. During the New Democratic Revolution, Tianjin women cherish patriotism and national salvation enthusiasm. They were led by the party to join the revolutionary movement against imperialism and feudalism, and took participation in the National Conference on Sport and Divergence.In the practical political struggles, they continued to learn, to recognize their own mission and the women’s movement in the right direction step by step. They are tempered and tested in the struggles and overcame their weaknesses and shortcomings, thus becoming a major force the in the party during the Chinese revolution. There are lots of bright stars has emerged like Ching-Yang Liu, Guo Longzhen, Deng Yingchao and a number of prominent representatives, they became the Chinese proletarian vanguard fighters in the women’s liberation movements. They trained a large number of people who became an important source of women cadres. These women’s communities with other communities considered important issue,like oppression of women and social evil feudal ethics. They launched a heroic struggle to the imperialists and reactionary warlords, they made many efforts on searching for national salvation. |
