A Study On Environment Ethics In The Perspective Of System Philosophy

Thoughts on environment ethics that advocate the harmony and mutual development between human being and the nature having been existed for a long time, which have been a constant subject for researchers as well as a focus of contemporary environment ethics. The rapid development of science on one hand advances the complexity and diversity of material production and the forms of social organizations, but it also results to a series of ecological environment problems on the other hand. System philosophy comes into being out of such a need capable of the systemic analysis and comprehensive solutions of complicated problems, which adds a new methodology to the research of environment ethics thoughts.Focus on the integrity of natural eco-system in environment ethics theory fits in well with the concentration on unity methodology in system philosophy. Environment ethics theory reflects the unity methodology in system philosophy and the construction of it is based on and followed the path of the unity methodology of system philosophy, which abides with the integral co-existence, integral optimization and integral dynamic principle of system philosophy. The theoretical basis of environment ethics is mutually co-existence, laying emphasis on the harmonious development of human beings’ morality, natural environment and social economy. As a result, system philosophy applied to environment ethics study outstands the characteristics of such subject. Environment ethics thereunder is a pluralistic and sustainable ideological system, which stresses the unity and integrity of environment ethics as well as the collaborative development between human beings and nature. Moreover, such a methodology also focuses on the characteristics of system philosophy like morality notion of human being and behavioral codes.This thesis is based on the system philosophy theories focusing on environment ethics, which is meant to find out the conjunction between such two subjects under the methodology of system philosophy. Furthermore, upon the basis of the above theories, the eco-cognition is reconstructed integrally that is a brand new environment morality notion of modern human beings, upon which a "human being-nature-society’ value centricity is built hereunder. Such a construction will be meaningful theoretically and actually for the development of the society.
