This paper gives an analysis on the characteristics among the consonants in words, phrases and sentences and their adjacent sound segments, discussing the co-articulation features in syllables, cross syllables and cross terms namely the way and the direction of interacting and the degree of superposition by using EPG combined with the methods of acoustic analysis and physical analysis, so as to reveal the rule of co-articulation in consonants of Mongolian standard sentences. The paper consists of Introduction, Chapter 1, Chapter2, Chapter3, Chapter4 and references. In Introduction, the author illustrates previous research status and the significance of the selected topic.Chapter 1 introduces the structure of Mongolian speech dynamic palatogram database and the experiment equipment, materials, the people of pronunciation, methods.Chapter 2 analyzes the problem of co-articulation and interaction in consonants of Mongolian.Chapter 3 analyzes the degree of co-articulation of consonants in Mongolian.Chapter 4 makes an induction and summary on this research.Judging from the result of the experiment, the consonants in Mongolian interact with vowels in the process of pronunciation and pronunciation gesture stacks in time-domain. In interrelationship among sound segments, posterior segment tone have greater impact on front end tone. In consonant cluster, back set consonants have impact on front set consonants. The pronunciation characteristics of Subsequent consonants is accompanied with the whole process of pronunciation of front set consonants including three types of resistance. Syllable consonants is the maximum in the contact area of tongue and palate and the degree of superposition. Cross syllable is the minimum in the contact area of tongue and palate in cross term section. This shows that articulating in continuous statements, the tongue position of adjacent consonant combination is relatively in the rear, consonants are not combined tightly.
