The Animal Image And National Psychology In Proverb In Russian And Chinese

It is common knowledge that both Russian and Chinese (Han) are time-honored nationalities with magnificent histories and cultures. The first step to learn a language of any nationality is to learn its proverbs and adages. This thesis aims to figure out the characters and psychology of Russian and Han nationalities by analyzing the animal images in their proverbs. Besides, the thesis also tries to make contribution to the culture exchange between Russia and China. In order to achieve the final goals, the following aspects are included:first, the introduction of national psychology of Russian and Han nationalities; second, the comparative analysis of animal images in proverbs between the two nationalities. The thesis will try to make a comprehensive analysis with detailed examples.
