A Study On The Hand Components Of Oracle-Bones Inscriptions

The study on a certain component of Oracle-Bone Inscriptions is not very common. However, there is a lack of systematic analysis on the HAND component of Oracle-Bone Inscriptions.This dissertation has chosen the forms formed by HAND components in the New Compilation of Oracle-Bone Inscriptions as the research materials,and has used the Component Theises as the basic research theory. As a basic component unit of Oracle-Bone Inscriptions, HAND components have been classified into 21 types in the dissertation.The research has covered these perspectives,such as the number of the HAND components,the location and orientation of the HAND component in the Oracle-Bone Inscriptions,the Structure configuration and the structure meanings of the HAND components,the structure of the character composed by the HAND component,the simplifying or the adding HAND parts which effect the structure meanings,the replacement between the different HAND-components types which have the similar form and meanings,and so on.Through the study on the HAND component on Oracle-Bone Inscriptions, we can get the overview of the rough evolution process of the whole components.I hope the systematic research in this dissertation might make a little compensation for the study on the whole Oracle-Bone Inscriptions’Components.
