"Coincidental Interest" As The Priority

In the era of industrialization and high-tech development, the advancement of craftwork is always accompanied by the insensitivity and degeneration of cognitive abilities. As a major aesthetic language in modem ceramics, coincidental interest calls for more attention and investigations nowadays. This thesis explained the cultural load and special significance of "coincidental interest", and analyzed the common coincidental patterns in ceramic creation. Furthermore, this thesis adopted practical instances to investigate how coincidental elements are properly applied for expression in modern ceramic creation. In addition, viewing from the aesthetic and philosophic aspects, this thesis also discussed the appreciation of the beauty of "coincidental interest" in traditional ceramics and the appliances of coincidental elements in modern ceramics. Investigations into aesthetic value and cultural load of "coincidental interest" in the context of modern ceramic development are of great significance. Such investigations are helpful in strengthening our understanding of aesthetic appreciation brought by the "coincidental interest" in modern ceramics and in providing ceramic creators enlightenment as well as theoretical basis useful in their practical craftwork.
