The Breakthrough Of The Dispute Between Cofucianism And Mohism-The Research Of Mohism In The Qian-jia Period

In the Warring States period,the Cofucian school and the Mohist school were well-matched in status.Because of the mutual criticism between their ideologies,The dispute between Cofucianism and Mohism come into being. The dispute between Cofucianism and Mohism is a strike to development of Mohism,which indirectly lead to decline of Mohism.The dispute influenced the development and dissemination of Mohism,which had improved untill Qian-jia Period of Qing dynasty.In the past research,scholars more often focus on revival of Mohism in the Qing dynasty,which is not from the perspective of history of thought.This paper try to take Qian-jia Mohism as the theme from the point of the history of thought to deconstruct the influence of The dispute between Cofucianism and Mohism,which is the innovation point of this paper.This papertake The dispute between Cofucianism and Mohism as the breakthrough point,take the research production of Mohism in the Qian-jia Period as the basis,to analysis two different cocepts of study on the Mohism:Firstly,the idea of dispute WangZhong/ Weng Fanggang/ Zhang Huiyan hold;Secondly,the idea of textual research BiYuan/Zhu Yidong/Hong Yixuan/Wang Niansun hold.This paper includes the following aspects:firstly,the relationship of The dispute between Cofucianism and Mohism and the study on Mohism;secondly,the background and research production of Mohism in the Qian-jia Period;thirdly,the change of scholars’ thought on annotation of Mohism.The methods that this paper take is analysising and discussing books of Mohism in the Qian-jia Period,summarizing the characteristics of notes,coming to a conclusion.We discuss the promoting effect of The dispute between Cofucianism and Mohism to the study of Mohism and the contribution of BiYuan to the development of Mohism.Besides,we discuss the great significance of The dispute between Cofucianism and Mohism to the revival of Mohism,which reveals mostly in breaking through the fetter of The dispute between Cofucianism and Mohism,returning to collect and research the books,which is the main influence of the study of Mohism in the Qian-jia Period to SunYirang’s MoZiJianGu.The research of Mohism after the Qian-jia Period mostly take the works of this period as based research.These works Inherit the traditional methods and content of the Qian-jia Period,which is critically inherited.Through collecting and researching the works of the Qian-jia Period,we find that this a method to research the relationship between the school of Cofucianism and the School of Zhu Zi.
