During the Pre-Qin period,Confucianism and Mohism were collectively referred to as "expressing learning." The comparative study of Confucianism and Mohism always attracts a lot of reseachers in these fields.The concept of wisdom occupies an important position in Confucianism and Mohism.In this essay,the writer tries to compare and to research this concept in these two fields.In Chapter one,the development and evolution of shape and meaning of wisdom is described,and then,In Chapter two,comparing the concept of wisdom in Confucianism to it in Mohism finds some same and different features about this concept in two fields.During this process,we find that the same features lie in these parts: Firstly,the some same influences which are caused by learning and thinking of individuals on wisdom can be found in two fields.Secondly,Their theories admit subjects are able to completely identify and know objects.Finally,they both support to this way of cognition,which perceptual cognition can integate with rational cognition and draws an reasonable conclusion.At the same time,the different features include the following points: the orgin of individual cogition,the different of individual intelligence,and the differences of the concept of wisdom in two fields is caused by their fundamental theories which they choose to emphasize on the nature of cognition or the nature of moral.At last,the concept of wisdom include both intellectual element and moral element and the comtemporary enlightenment of wisdom ought to contain the nature of cognition or the nature of moral.
