A Study On Ou’yang Xiu’s Ci-poetry

Ou’yang Xiu was not only the leader of the literature of North Song Dynasty,but also the pioneer of the new territory,and he leaded the campaign for poems and articles’ innovation,so he was called as grandmaster on Chinese literature.As far as his Ci-poetry be concerned,the results was mixed,becasuse of his fairy-love lyrics.It shows that Ou’yang Xiu is the author of this fairy-love lyrics through studying his multiple characteristics and sociocultural factors of the Song Dynasty. What is more,throughout his all Ci-poetry we can find that Ou’yang Xiu’s Ci-poetry includes the content of his daily life.And he controled emotion and behavior,so that his works mingled with elegance and vulgarness.These characteristics accorded with the aesthetic orientation of scholar-bureaucrats in Song Dynasty.Maybe that’s reason why his Ci-poetry is so popular. In other words, Ou’yang Xiu’s Ci-poetry with literary and historical heft,keeps a record of the contents of scholar-bureaucrats’ daily life in Song Dynasty,and shows their art life.Therefore,this article will be divided into the following four parts to discuss this thesis.At the beginning of this paper,it is introduction part that summarizes the research background,study status,purpose of research and mentality.In the first chapter,according to two turning points in Ou’yang Xiu’s life,his life can be divided by three periods, the former is "the life in Bianjing and Luoyang",the second period is"the life of exile and advancement" and the later is "the life of retirement in Yingzhou".The relations among his life,the creative environment of Ci-poetry and Ci-poetry will show the scholar-bureaucrats’art life in Song Dynasty represented by Ou’yang Xiu.In the second chapter,with background of the age,there are three aspects demonstrating the scholar-bureaucrats’ daily life in Song Dynasty throughout Ou’yang Xiu’all Ci-poetry,.They are gathering and tour, being an official and celebrating a festival.Study its features,we can find that Ou’yang Xiu’s Ci-poetry includes the contents and emotions of his daily life.The last chapter analyses the reason why his Ci-poetry is so popular.Ou’yang Xiu played multiple roles,so the diversity represented different spirit connotations and value preferences. He controled emotion and behavior on the creative process,and made his Ci-poetry have the aesthetic characteristics of philosophy.This is a new phenomenon called "the aestheticization of everyday life" in Chinese literature.It makes Ou’yang Xiu’s Ci-poetry has his personality and unique charm,and conforms to the tastes of all.
