In the process of rapid urbanization in China, the urban space is arranged by capital logic and power logic. In order to maximize the benefits as only value goal, it is deviated from the “people-oriented” concept of the urban space. Therefore, it is realistic and theoretical to explore which moral value is the final goal based on the construction of the urban space. This paper expounds the moral value system of the modern urban space, along with the progressive logic relationship of basic value, core value, terminal value and ultimate value. Order is the basic moral of the urban space that means safety、comfort and convenience. Justice is the core value of urban space. It is an inevitable requirement of social diversity-orderly structure that’s caused by social stratification and spatial segregation. Dignity is the terminal value of the urban space. Living a dignified life provide the possibility to dispel moral indifference, discrimination, prejudice and the freedom and harmonious of life. Happiness is the ultimate value of the urban space. It is not only the best interpretation of “good life”, but also the pursuit of the highest value in the construction of the urban space. The urban space “It will be depressed and recessionary even if it is rich”(as Joel Kotkin said) if there is no moral value to restrain and regulate it. The urban space which is based on moral value system is not only a comfortable living space but also a meaningful spiritual space. And what is more, it is an ideal space to pursue happiness.
