Kazuo Ishiguro is a famous contemporary British novelists, who also with Naipaul and Salman Rushdie as the Best British Immigrant Writers.Kazuo Ishiguro is a hard working writer, who has been published seven novels since his creation. We can find all kinds of subjects, unique creative style and various creative models in his novels after reading.I chose Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel The Unconsoled as my thesis’s resesrch object to discuss it’s special writing model and the way for presenting traum. The whole thesis is composed of four parts:introdution, main content and conclusion. From the first part, we can konw something about Kazuo Ishiguro and his works, his great honor, research status at home and abroad. At the end of this part, I introduced something about trauma narrative and the reason for my paper.Chapter 1 analyzes the reasons why the character is a victim, at the same time is trauma maker. Losing love and leading a wandering life made character to be a trauma victim.The character can not forget his trauma, which made him to be a traua maker to hurt others.Chapter 2 discusses trauma narrative. Through close reading of The Unconsoled, try to go a step further to discuss the unique trauma narrative model in this novel. Recurring trauma, being faced trauma and get out of trauma are three parts of structure from the paper, the main point of this part is to reveal that the important character in novel is not only a creator but also a trauma maker, who made everyone to be unconsoled.Chapter 3 makes a conclusion. From this part, the paper make a brief analysis about writer’s trauma narrative exploration in his new novels and analyse the great influence from The Unconsoled trauma narrative model on the new novels. At last make a conclusion about the inportance of Kazuo Ishiguro’s trauma narrative.
