The Research Of Modern Consciousness In Bing Xin’s May Fourth Period Literaey Works

Bingxin is one of the most influential female writers in the period of May 4th movement. Influenced by western ideas and "May 4th" spirit, she tried to get rid of the shackles of feudal consciousness. Different from the same period in the literary world’s sadness, she used pure and fresh language with unique ideas to build a "world of love" for readers. In this paper, we select Bingxin’s May 4th literary during period of May4th as the research object. Under the context of the fight between modern and convention, Bingxin’s literary ideas has distinct features during this period, she actively select modern, consciously inherit the convetions.We try to find the definition of modern consciousness in Bingxin’s literary works, and restore its original context about creation from her home environment and historical background of life, to explore the psychological and evaluate her creation’s cultural position in history.From the Bingxin’s "May 4th" period creation, we hope to find the modern consciousness of the themes and the modern consciousness of art forms, to understand the the value of the modern consciousness in Bingxin’s literary creation in history and its influence to the contemporary literary creation.In order to understand Bing xin’s modern consciousness of her literary works better, the content mainly divides into four parts.The first chapter is introduction. This part is divided into three sections. In the first section, elicit the modern consciousness of Bing xin’s literary works by expounding the significance of modern consciousness and the generation of modern consciousness in Chinese literature. So we can clear the purpose and significance of this study. The second section discusses the research status of Bingxin’s modern consciousness of her literary works, clear the progression of Bingxin’s literary modernity in the academic circles. The third section briefly describes the research methods.The second chapter, this paper discusses the main connotation of the modern consciousness in Bing xin’s literature during the period of May 4th. It included two aspects. The first aspect, it discuss the awakening of female subjectivity, children’s discovery and how to reshape the modern personality. Secondly, it discusses how to return to innocence, the harmony of man and nature and the connotation of mother’s love. The third chapter, through text reading, mainly discusses Bing xin how to performance her modern consciousness by artistic expression. There are three aspects in this part:The first one is about the multiple dimensions of Bing xin’s language practice modern forms. Combined with the specific works, analysis how she express vernacular literary views by classical Chinese and how to write Chinese poetic in the form of western language, try to Interpret the basic characteristics of "Bingxin Style". The second part is to interpret Bingxin s modern narrative strategy. The third part is to interpret the modern aesthetic pursuit of Bingxin.The fourth chapter, the paper try to expounds the cause of the modern consciousness in Bingxin’s literature and her works’history value, discusses the source of Bingxin’s modern consciousness in her literary works by her education background, family environment, and the historical background; Combining with her works, analysis Bingxin’s life trajectory and the procession of her creation.In the epilogue part, explain the meaning of Bingxin’s modern consciousness in her literary theme and her influence on modern contemporary literary creation.
