A Comparative Study Of "The Buddha’s Preaching Of The Scripture Of Ti-tsang Bodhisattva" Between Dali And Dunhuang

As an important suspected apocrypha in Chinese Ksitigarbha faith, The Buddha’s Preaching of the Scripture of Ti-tang Bodhisattva was produced in the middle and late Tang Dynasty. It was circulated in the area of Dali and Dunhuang. The year of Dali version maybe in Dali period or in Yuan Chenghua twelve years(1476). And the year of Dunhuang version maybe in 11 th century when the Buddhist scripture storing cave closed. Dali located in the frontier of the motherland, was established Nanzhao and Dali Kingdom, where was Buddhism prevailed. Dunhuang located in the Central Plains, where gathered Buddhist resort and multicultural. The version of Dali and Dunhuang has continuity in time, and complementary on space. Both version are close to people’s secular life. To the version of Dali and Dunhuang this comparative study on The Buddha’s Preaching of the Scripture of Ti-tang Bodhisattva,will be found something different and mutually benefit each other.This article from the point of view of ethnology theory, using the field research method,literature research, historical analysis, comparative research, comprehensive study method,etc., combining with the religion, history, linguistics, archaeology, ethnology, such as multiple disciplines, to Dali version comparing with the Dunhuang version study.The introduction part is mainly to the related research in this field were reviewed, this paper selected topic background, research significance and research ideas, methods and innovation, and the relevant concepts are defined.In the first chapter elaborated through field investigation and literature retrieval from the object of study. Then sorte out and collecte Dali and Dunhuang version comprise, summarize and classify in each version on the basis of comparative study to establish the basic framework.The second chapter mainly from the theoretical, the arrangement, the narrative text,comprehensive comparison between two versions. Analysis of the two in this paper, the similarities and differences.The third chapter mainly to interpretation by the function of examining believers to practice of two versions. Preliminary understanding to Dali version belief in the practical localization and secularization, nationalization and functional features.With the fourth chapter mainly think of the origin, evolution and female parent of the spread of The Buddha’s Preaching of the Scripture of Ti-tsang Bodhisattva, pay attention to social situation under the influence. Discuss the reflect on the culture process in culture systeme of Bai people’s ancestors, to function as the core, to mainly culture and foreign culture through seclet and identify culture, establish itself culture structure with it’s internal and external complete internalization process.
