General psychology of human being is self-defense and self-sustaining. For self-defense, human built up God to lean on, be sheltered as a young who is dependent upon his parents. For self-preservation, human has created the idea of an immortal soul. Buddhism is the only religion in the religious history of mankind that deny the existence of a soul. According to Buddhism, it’s a false belief, does not correspond to reality. It arises the idea of "I" and "mine", lust, selfishness, anger, attachment, malice, arrogance stretch, pride... It is the source of all troubles, from personal disputes to wars between nations.Secondly, what we call human beings are just a collection of five factors including physical (outside) and psychological (perception, and consciousness). If something in the khandhas is called self (atta), then we must have full rights to control it, and if khandhas is us, we must have jurisdiction over them, instruct them "you don’t have right to be sick, old, or dead..." In reality, we totally do not get that authority, so it is selfless. And if each group can not assimilate into self, can their combination provide the foundation for assimilation? As the aroma of lotus is not dependent on the leaf, root, color, but belongs to the whole flower. It means there isn’t the ego in each component, but it is in the combination. When reading through the Pali scriptures and Han scriptures, we have seen very clearly that the concept of egolessness exists in Theravada Buddhism period with real meaning by itself s status. Buddha advised monks to live in present, mindfully awareness right here and now. This is the practice of letting go. Considering life as a fake temporary, a selflessness so that we can get rid of physical passion, money, fame, and sensual enjoyment. This is the austerities’ wish whose are in quest of enlightenment, giving up mundane afflictions to get the holy life, and the liberation from suffering. They just need the most simple things for daily life such as three yellow robes, a bowl for alms, a small place for meditating and medicine to keep them alive. A life is without money, good looking appearance, fame, reality, and lobes, because they know that all things are Zero. They put a burden down and focus on practicing, is no longer harassed by depressing. Purity of mind and it is freed. This ideology has defeated the concept of ego, supposed that the ego really exist, or all human phenomena and the world created by God. Skanha proved that things are countless, so it does not have any physical existence. This realization is the boundary to step on deliverance from defiled bondage. This is the marvelous, wonderful of Buddhism doctrime. However, this concept does not stop at Theravada Buddhist period, but to the period of the sects period, it was discussed and developed to the peak. It’s the Mahayana Buddhist (emptiness and early post-idealistic (only as hybrid mode and organ).Buddhist thought was growing and blossoming along the length of more than 2500 years history. On the shortsighted level we can say that the conflict in Buddhist philosophical thought has occurred during the history and the various geographical regions. But the key is, Buddhist teachings is keeping the original from the begining, and the selflessness ideal is such concept too. Even though the academics has launched many contradictory theories and conflictings, I still feel that in fact the concepts are born that inherited and developed from Theravada as well as the whole Buddhist philosophy. Its purpose is helping the human beings escape suffering. Therefore, to clarify the legends and ideological transformation of "selflessness" over the period, I’m just base on content on Buddhist sutras to highlight the views of each period, rather than using a directly reference method about the changes the ideas through each set of scripture.Selfless philosophy (anatta) itself does accept both thesis constant extremism (sasavata) and annihilation (ucchadavada), because anatta is anatta. It is not permanent nor annihilation. It is in the middle, and should be noted that anatta can not be conveyed by ideas or language, which can only carry them through meditation. When we have a correct understanding of selflessness, that understanding finally will lead the practitioner to liberation from ignorance. Liberation from ignorance occurs as a natural result from getting rid of karma and klesas. They are derived from illegal or wrong about the nature of the internal and external measures. All will disappear completely in front of the dawn of the right understanding of selflessness. Conversely like a wire that is mistaken as a snake, then it will make people suffer, misperceptions about anatta and finally will destroy us completely.
