Research Of The Group Of Model Workers In Wuhan Area (1950～1960)

This paper targets the study of the group of model workers in Wuhan from 1950 to 1960. The main content of this article contains three aspects, the formation, the constitution and the social participation of this group. And on this basis, an objective evaluation will be given to the group of model workers. the full text is divided into chapters.The honoring work is carried out as a national "a board of chess", and at the same time the conditions itself also had an appreciable effect to it. Based on the analysis of social environment, the forming process of the group of model workers will be clarified through the arrangement of the main activities of model workers selection and awards from Wuhan City to Hubei Province and the whole nation.In this period, the number and proportion of female model workers reflects the Rise of woman’s Social Status and also the limitations. The Party members and League members among the group of model workers can explain the strengthen of political consciousness on model workers selection and awards. The age structure and variation of this group can partly explain the relationship between young workers and veteran workers.The main economic activities are the advanced experiences of propaganda, promotion of advanced technology and production of competition. The main public activities contains joining the Party, to participate in political campaigns and to broadcast the reformation of the society.Based on the first three chapters, the fourth chapter is mainly to make a comment to the group of model workers in Wuhan. Firstly, through the participation of many social activities, the group of model workers had made influence in economical production, the political cohesion and social concept establishment. Secondly, the group itself had showed its particular spiritual outlook Under a certain social environment. In the end, the subjectivity of the group of model workers was not sunk into oblivion, the two aspects kept a relationship pf coexistence and dependence.
