More than fifty years of the last period Qing Dynasty reigned, the chivalrous case novels popularized unprecedentedly, which owned a huge quality, becoming a literature phenomenon and creative tide that could not be ignored, and had an outstanding contribution for the prosperity of modern literature. It leaded great research interest of the modern scholars, that they gave overwhelming care in the respects of the process of making the book, the research of the author, thinking content, the skill feature, and the origin of success etc. This essay would research further upon these achievements and try to refer to Wu Si’s theory--"the laws of defing". I did my best to refrain to repeat the results that made before, and mainly started with the violence and the defing phenomenon of the process that the chivalrous experts did justice work. Furthermore, I would press onward to observe the status of the their group life, and give a brand new explanation of the chivalrous experts submitting to the authority of the Qing governors as well as the chivalrous novels and the case novels collaborating together.This thesis would concentrated on the violence of the chivalrous experts and "the laws of defing" in the chivalrous case novels. First, I would make the conception and connotation of the chivalrous behavior. Besides, I would inspect the evolution of the chivalrous novels in order to overall grasp the chivalrous conception and the chivalrous spirit. Furthermore, digging out the violent means that when the chivalrous experts behaved, to pave the way for the analysis of the violence type in the chivalrous case novels in the following passage. Second, after reading the novels carefully, I would focused on the violent type and the mode of execution, as well as the payoffs of the violence and the danger they would confront to conclude that the risk they faced the most was the confrontation with the government, namely, the contend of rule-making power. Last, going back to the reason of the collaboration of chivalrous experts and Qing governors, as well as the coalition of chivalrous novels and case novels, the conclusion came down to the failure of the chivalrous experts confronting with Qing governors, who had to collude with them because the threat of their living, as the chivalrous novels and the case novels collaborated together.
