Study On Cultural Performance Of The Miao Nationality In Shanjiang Fenghuang County

Cultural performance, as the name implies,is a combination of culture and performance, which is known as a kind of art performance that can reflects a specific culture. First of all, it must be attached to culture created from people’s lives, habits, emotions and beliefs, and will inevitably involves subjects of the performance、performers 、 audience 、 arena and performing media. More importantly, these performances will be watched、known and understood by individuals or groups, and have far-reaching significance. Since reform and opening-up, as the rapid development of domestic minority study boom, the original art performance reflecting of national culture has become increasingly popular, and showed vitality in the development of variety of art exhibitions. More and more domestic scholars began to focus on the research of the sustainable development influences of the cultural performance. Although there has been lots of studies on this related topics at home and abroad, the breadth and depth of the study remains to be further expanded. The current researches about Shanjiang town in Fenghuang county are scattered, most of them are done from the perspective of tourism, thus from the perspective of anthropology, there are little comprehensive and systematic researches done on the cultural performance in Shanjiang town.In order to do this research, the author consulted a large number of literature, and had done field survey in Shanjiang town of Fenghuang county for many times from 2013 to 2015. Based on field survey and current research achivements, this paper attempts to do in-depth and comprehensive investigation on the cultural performance of Shanjiang town.This paper, except the introduction, is divided into four chapters. The introduction part describes the background and significance of selecting this subject、the domestic and international research, as well as the research contents and methods of this paper. The first chapter introduces the general situation of Shanjiang town from the historical evolution, natural and geographical environment, social and economic development and the cultural customs of the Miao nationality.The second chapter is a key point of this paper. This part illustrates different historical stages of cultural performance of Miao nationality in Shanjiang town. By taking three different survey fields: the museum of Miao nationality 、 cultural performance in other scenic spots、festival cultural performance, the author introduces the main contents and forms in the present stage of cultural performance of Miao nationality in Shanjiang town. Chapter three is another important part of this paper. Through discussion of the evolution of Miao cultural performances in Shanjiang town, this part analyzes the changing reason of cultural performances of Miao nationality in Shanjiang town from five aspects: the rise of the rural tourism, emphasis and support of the government、effectively implementation of safeguarding policy of intangible cultural heritage 、 the improvement of Miao people’s spiritual with the change of the entertainment language、the promotion of inheritance and innovation of traditional culture of Miao nationality. The fourth chapter demonstrates the function of Miao cultural performance in Shanjiang town based on the analysis of economic、 culture and social situation in this area.
