The Development Of ’Zhuaji Wawa’ Iegend Sory And The Visual System Design Base On Traditional Chinese Paper Cut

This project is about art of Chinese paper cut and I focus on research with one type of paper cut which called’Zhuaji Wawa’.’Zhuaji Wawa’ is a traditional visual symbol of Chinese paper cut which existed in loess plateau of China. It is a typical God incarnate in traditional Chinese private sector which loading with hope of living and multiplying. Therefore, I would like to organize a new storyline from the fragmented information of ’Zhuaji Wawa’ paper cut, and giving it a new explanation by using contemporary visual language with new material. From this, bring the enlightenment of original value and natural philosophy to modern life. Meanwhile, the researching and exploring of ’Zhuaji Wawa’ paper cut would also provide a new direction and possibility for other Non-material cultural heritage that will make a contribution to the spread of traditional auspicious culture.
