China Tangible/Intangible Assets Abroad Effect On Export And OFDI

The Chinese language and culture in the international community is the intangible assets of our country,the infrastructure constructed by China’s technology and engineer in other countries is our tangible assert,both of them play an important role in improving the level of international economic strength in our country.Promoting Chinese language and culture can increase the number of people learning Chinese in the world, enhance the sense of cultural identity, and reduce the trade barriers and communication costs caused by the language and the ideological difference.The output of China’s engineering force, which means our country’s engineers and technology to upgrade the local infrastructure,can promote the huge better difference of local economy, improve the status of China’s engineering technology in the international community.This paper based on the panel data of 107 countries from 2005 to 2012 years, used gravity model to make empirical analysis of the impact of China’s overseas intangible assets and tangible assets to China’s exports and foreign direct investment, results show that China’s overseas intangible assets and tangible assets to China’s exports and foreign direct investment has significant effect, the effect of foreign direct investment is greater than that of exports. Then we classify the countries into OECD countries and non OECD countries and research them respectively, results show that both China’s overseas intangible assets and tangible assets can stimulate more China’s exports and foreign direct investment in non OECD countries rather than OECD countries.
