The Research Of Gratitude Stories In Sou Shen Ji

Gratitude is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation.It has been advocated by the rulers,and ordinary people also have deep gratitude consciousness, so there are many stories of gratitude in literary works. GanBao’s mystery novels Sou Shen Ji also recorded a lot of such stories,but now scholars have little research on it. This article adopts the gratitude stories of Sou Shen Ji as the research object.It will analyze the characteristics, guiding ideology,the meaning of era and its influence on later novels.This article consists of three parts:introduction,body part and conclusion.The introduction introduces the research status, topic value and the research content.Body part is divided into three chapters: The first chapter mainly analyzes the stories of gratitude in Sou Shen Ji.They present the charcters’ diversity and strangeness as well as the fantasy plot.The second chapter explores the guiding ideology of GanBao.One is China’s confucius.GanBao comes from aristocratic family of a government official, which is deeply influenced by confucianism.And confucian culture contains various thought of paying a debt of gratitude,which guide GanBao to create rich storyies of gratitude. The other is the buddist thought.Buddhism prevailed at that time.Buddhist thought of gratitude consciousness and the concept of karma also had an impact on GanBao’s creation. The third chapter analyzes the book’s meaning of era and its influence on later novels. In gratitude stories, the leading role of ghosts,spiritual animals and so on,as well as the way of their generous return,reflects the popularity of folk belief and people’s love for fame and wealth.And,The gratitude of stories in Sou Shen Ji, due to the charm of its own,produced important influences on the later stories writing.The last is the conclusion. It states the gratitude stories’ realistic meaning and significance ofliterature.It has both educate the public and develop the fine tradition and reflected the cultural connotation of historical data.At the same time, on future generations of gratitude in the novel story writing has a huge influence.
