The color of animation is a special comprehensive language system. Color can convey emotion, create atmosphere, and impact the style of the film. It can help narrate, and also can express, symbol and create aesthetic feeling. Hand-drawn animation absorbs the visual presentation of fine art, and shows its unique artistic fascination with diversified audio-visual language of emotion expression.The movement is the main feature of the animation color, determined by the movi ng characteristics of the animation. Successive contrast is another characteristic of the a nimation color. It is the core of the dynamic color design of animation which needs to p ay attention to. Montage is a unique basis of film language, which edits a series of short shots to narrate story and convey emotion. Successive contrast is color montage. There fore, the animation color design should start from the successive contrast to make a col or overall design, maintain the consistent style of the animation, and unified the atmosp here of the aesthetic feeling.Through the induction and analysis of color spectrum of domestic and foreign film, the writer refined the application of color in the film and applied to the creation of the short animation- "The neighbor". The writer repeatedly attempts to set the color, hope to summarize an animation color design method which suitable for my own creation and may provide aesthetic feeling of the development of the animation industry.
