Probe On Zhang Xian’s Ci

Zhang Xian’s Ci is the turning point between inherited and expanded version of Song Ci. In the Northern Song dynasty, Zhang Xian compared with Liu Yong in the early history on CI status. Zhang Xian’s Ci have a wide range of subjects, he used the literary style ci to show the daily life scenes, opened up the Ci’s environment, and he expanded the artistic expression of the Ci. In addition to developing Ci, Zhang Xian employed the Lingci creation methods to compose Manci. Zhang Xian has the inclination of taking Poetry as Ci. And he made a great contribution for the change of Song Ci. In brief, from the Late Tang Dynasty to the Early Song Dynasty in Ci, Zhang Xian has dug up a new way to it, which made a pioneering attempt in the changes of Ci for Poet Su Shi.There are five parts in this paper. The introduction part summarizes the current research, introduces the overall concept of the article, summarizes the significance of the topic, as well as research methods., The first chapter outlines the life story of Zhang Xian, and on this basis, it sets to sort out the relationship between Ci of the Late Tang Dynasty, analyzes the historical influence of Zhang Xian’s. The second chapter discusses the subject of his Ci which have five categories, which include the Farewell CI, the Descriptive Ci, the Euphemistic Ci, the Scenic Ci and the Seasonal Ci. By these five words of appreciation and analysis of the artistic features, we have come to the conclusion that Zhang Xian made great efforts to expand the Ci’s boundary. The third chapter mainly explores the analysis of Zhang Xian’s Ci style of achievement. Through the analysis of Zhang Xian’s Ci, its style characteristic can be summarized into three points, first Ci’s literary system and flavor has been build, second he employed the Lingci creation methods to compose Manci, third he composed Ci as poetry. The fourth chapter summarizes influence on the status of the Zhang Xian’s Ci. Zhang Xian is regarded as a transitional writer in the history of literature, who made a great difference in changing the style in Ci for the literary masters such as Su Shi.
